Blackie Writing Desk
The original Blackie Writing Desk was jointly acquired by the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum and Hill House, National Trust for Scotland and is on permanent display, shared between the Hill House and the Kelvingrove.
Prior to, and during manufacture of my reproduction, I referred to various publications for detailed information. I also made several visits to the Kelvingrove to make sketches before I making a scaled drawing to work from.
The reproduction features Mother of pearl inlay in the doors and the internal leaded glass work by PM Stained Glass and the Pewter Handle by Timmy Cooper.

TestimonialS
You recently made me an Ingram high back chair which was for my wife’s 60th birthday. I would just like to say how pleased I am with it. Not only are we pleased with the chair, but we are both impressed with your skills as a craftsman. Once again thanks for a great job, and thanks for making her birthday so special.
